HighfiveApp Installer: The installer could not connect to the Internet...

HighfiveApp Installer - The installer could not connect to the Internet. Ensure that your computer is connected to the Internet and your firewall allows GoogleUpdate.exe to connect then try again.

Troubleshooting Steps

Note: If you need to get into a call immediately, one workaround to use Google Chrome to join the meeting. Navigating to a call link in Google Chrome will start the call in your web browser, instead of using the Highfive desktop application.

  1. Check your computer's internet connection. A quick and easy way is by trying to load other web pages, such as https://google.com or https://yahoo.com.
  2. Highfive needs a file on your computer, named GoogleUpdate.exe, to be able to access the Internet. Check your firewall, antivirus, or endpoint security programs to ensure this is not blocked.
  3. Try connecting your computer to a different network and attempt the application installation process again.

If the installer error persists, please feel free to contact Highfive Support at (844)464-4445 or email help@highfive.com through the hours of 7am-5pm Pacific Time to report the issue for additional investigation.
