This article is about Highfive’s most recent product update, version 1.18. This update has a number of improvements and fixes that should greatly enhance your Highfive experience.

General
- Many UI and text improvements including account settings screen, download animations, and feedback panels
- Updated message when you’re the only one in a meeting to say, “No one else is sending video right now”
- Mute status icons now display in the same location on all platforms
Desktop App & Browser
- Desktop app will find Highfive devices via Bluetooth faster
- Mac app now supports non-text characters (such as %) in meeting names
- Camera selection preference is remembered in Highfive Desktop apps
- Desktop apps now have a built-in mechanism for updating out of date components
Highfive Device
- Setting up a Highfive device for the first time is now faster and easier
- Deprovisioning a Highfive device that is connected to the Internet, from the admin dashboard, is now instant
- Device hostnames (as seen in network management tools) no longer have colons in them
- Longer device names, meeting names, and other text strings will now play nice in the Highfive Device’s UI
- Highfive device now recovers from a couple rare crash scenarios instead of hanging on a blank purple screen
- Resolved an issue where a device could join a call while the Highfive device was going through a mandatory device update, resulting in an error message
- Fixed an issue that could cause the Highfive device to crash in a multi-hour call

- Fixed an issue that occasionally caused video corruption
