Integrating Highfive with Slack

Integrating Highfive with Slack allows you to:

  • Invite Slack channels and users to a meeting while in Highfive.
  • Drop a Highfive video call invitation into a Slack channel or DM with a user without leaving Slack.
    • By using a dedicated Highfive slash command.
    • By using the Slack Calls phone button (optional).

Set up the Slack Integration 

  1. Navigate to your Highfive Domain Dashboard
  2. Select Integrations
  3. Look for Slack and click Setup
  4. Click Add to Slack
  5. At the Slack permissions page, click Authorize.
  6. Optional: Within Slack, you can make the Slack Calls phone button start a Highfive meeting.
    1. Follow these steps to get to the Settings & permissions menu in Slack.
    2. Under Calls, select Highfive
    3. Click Save
  7. Highfive! You’re all done. Check this page out to learn how to use the Slack integration.

Disable the Slack Integration

  1. Navigate to your Highfive Domain Dashboard.
  2. Select Integrations
  3. Look for Slack and click on it. 
  4. Select Disable Integration

Important: You only need to set up the Slack integration once. This makes the feature available to everyone under your company's domain. Once you're done, your users will need to allow their own individual Slack accounts to communicate with Highfive by following these steps: Using the Slack Integration
