Changes in this release include:

  • A new in-call experience that improves the control bar, makes the invitation panel more intuitive and adds a cinematic background.
  • All customers now benefit from audio quality improvements from the best in class Dolby audio stack when using desktop and mobile clients.
  • Screen sharing now supports 1080p resolution.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Highfive device to incorrectly notify users that the TV speakers were muted via a message on the TV.  
  • Various bug fixes and improvements.

Highfive desktop apps and devices will automatically update over the next 24 hours, while updates to our mobile apps will be available in their respective app stores.

General

  • Fixed: An issue where new users may encounter a link expiration message when signing up for a Highfive account.
  • Fixed: Calendar scrolling is smoother.
  • Fixed: An issue where the get help button overlaps with the calendar.
  • Fixed: An issue where get help notifications don't appear next to the get help button.
  • Fixed: An issue where the app unexpectedly prompts you to setup a new TV when a user has a typo in the call link.
  • Improved: A new in-call experience that improves the control bar, makes the invitation panel more intuitive and adds a cinematic background.
  • Improved: New users will no longer receive duplicate emails when signing up for a Highfive account.
  • Improved: Users can now logout from the Highfive handoff/launcher page in the browser.
  • Improved: Screen sharing now supports 1080p resolution.
  • Improved: Audio and video quality when Highfive backend is handling peak call traffic due to server threading optimizations.

Highfive Device

  • Fixed: An issue where the Highfive device was incorrectly notifying the user that the TV speakers were muted via a message on the TV.
  • Improved: Device stability due to better memory management.

iOS

  • Improved: Users can now copy video call links on to the clipboard to join a call.

Dolby Audio

  • Improved: All users now benefit from audio quality improvements from the best in class Dolby stack when using desktop and mobile clients.
