Overview

In macOS 10.14+ (Mojave and newer), Apple introduced the following System Preference > Security & Privacy settings that will break your Highfive experience if they are set incorrectly:

  • Camera - Allows you to control the applications that can access your camera.
    • If blocked: You will not be able to enable your camera.
  • Microphone - Allows you to control the applications that can access your microphone.
    • If blocked: You will not be able to unmute your microphone.
  • Screen Recording - This was introduced in macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and allows you to control the applications that can record the contents of your screen.
    • If blocked: You will not be able to share your screen.
