Dolby Conference Phone: Go to this URL to start a call ...

If your Dolby conference phone shows the message, "Go to this URL to start a call", and there are three dots each where the URL and the Highfive camera name should be, then there's been a brief connectivity issue that can be resolved with a couple simple steps.


While the Dolby is in this state, it will not join meetings and will not work as a speaker and microphone for your messages. If your TV speakers are up, audio will output through your TV speakers instead.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Restart the Highfive device by tapping the Reset button that is located behind the unit.
    • This triggers a series of actions that refresh the camera's connection to the network and cause it to retry communicating with the Dolby conference phone over your network. It is not necessary to restart the Dolby conference phone.
  2. Verify that the Highfive device reboots to the familiar idle screen.
    • When the Highfive device reboots and returns to the idle screen, it may take up to 60 seconds for the Dolby conference phone's LCD screen to show the correct details.
    • If the TV is on and set to the right input (HDMI 1, for example), and it seems like the Highfive camera is not working, check the power connections to the camera and the wall to ensure nothing has come loose.
  3. Check the Dolby conference phone's LCD to verify that the devices are again communicating over the network. 

    • Your Highfive link and device name should now appear on the Dolby conference phone's touch-screen display. It can take up to 60 seconds after reboot for the devices to talk with each other.
    • When they are able to reach each other again, the TV will display the Dolby Voice logo next to the time, in the bottom-right corner of the idle screen.
