2.86 Release Notes (Feb 14)

The Highfive Engineering Team has been hard at work to bring you bug fixes and reliability improvements. With version 2.86, you’ll see new versions of the software for the mobile apps, the desktop app, and the web app.

General

  • Winter is Coming (in February): Winter themed default backgrounds are here!
  • Highfive now supports on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server for room calendar integration! This capability is rolling out incrementally, so you may not see it immediately in your admin dashboard. To add “one-touch-join” to your rooms if your room calendars are in an on-premises Exchange Server, check out the set up guide here.
  • In order to roll out big upgrades in the future, we will be increasing the minimum required browser version and version of our application. To that end, we have added a gentle notification for users that are currently on versions older than the soon-to-be-minimum. This notification will last for several weeks before the minimum actually changes. If you are an administrator and would like a list of users at your company who have recently used Highfive with an old browser or app version, reach out to the support team here.
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements.

Devices

  • Bug fixes and stability improvements.

Android

  • Handing off to the Highfive app when meeting links are opened from third party applications is now smoother. This enabled the removal of the Highfive app from the app chooser. Things should now “just work” with no extra selection needed.
  • A bug where some Android Samsung Internet browsers were looping infinitely on the handoff page when navigating to a Highfive meeting link is now fixed.
  • A link to terms and conditions has been added to the app.
  • General bug fixes and stability improvements.

iOS

  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

As always, you can sit back and relax while we do all the work of updating for you. Highfive desktop apps will automatically update over the next 24 hours, while updates to our mobile apps will be available in their respective app stores.
