Setting Your Highfive Language

Highfive's default language is English. The Highfive desktop app (Windows, Mac, and browser), admin dashboard, and Highfive rooms (Select, Plus, and Premium) may be used in other languages, as well.


Available Languages

Languages supported by Highfive include:

  • Dutch
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Japanese
  • Polish
  • Spanish

Setting Your Desktop Language

In the Highfive desktop app (Windows, Mac, and browsers), your language is initially set based upon your detected system or browser language. You may manually switch to another language through the My Account page.

  1. Open Highfive and sign in, if prompted: Click Here
  2. Click your profile image in the upper-righthand corner of the application. 
  3. Click the My Account item.
    Note: If you are using Highfive from the Windows or Mac desktop app rather than a browser, your My Account page will open in your default browser. 
  4. Click on the Language field.
  5. Select your preferred language.
  6. Click Save changes at the bottom of the screen.
    Note: If you are using Highfive from the Windows or Mac desktop app, after making and saving your preferred language, you will need to restart the Highfive desktop app to see the new language there.

Setting your Mobile App Language

At this time, support for languages besides English on iOS and Android is rolling out to our customers. So if you don't see it on your device yet, you will soon. On mobile devices, the Highfive app will use the default language for your device if it is one of the languages we support. If there is no support for your default language, the app will use English.

English-only User Interfaces

At this time, Highfive user interfaces other than the ones discussed above are not available in languages besides English. That includes:

  • Invitations sent to participants from within the Participants panel in a meeting
  • Voice prompts when dialing via phone in most regions
  • Calendar add-ins (Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar)
  • Team chat add-ins (Microsoft Teams and Slack)
  • Desktop application installers and menus
  • Room device setup screens
  • Other areas...
