The Highfive Engineering Team has been hard at work to bring you bug fixes and reliability improvements. With version 2.97, you’ll see new versions of the software for the mobile apps, the desktop apps, and the web app.
- We made backend server changes that enable some exciting new things for Highfive!
- Video Pinning is here! All participants now have the ability to “pin” a video so that you can stay on one persons video even as others are speaking.
- Improved frame rate when screen sharing! While not a “night and day” difference, it is noticeable and we are excited about this improvement.
- Due to this change, older versions of our desktop app (version 2.89 and older) will need to be updated before being able to join meetings. Visit https://start.highfive.com/app/download to get the latest version. Since Highfive automatically updates, the vast majority of people are no longer on a version that will have a problem. This will impact less than 1% of users.
- General bug fixes.
As always, you can sit back and relax while we do all the work of updating for you. Highfive desktop apps will automatically update over the next 24 hours, while updates to our mobile apps will be available in their respective app stores.
